My clients tried painting their media wall themselves, but unfortunately they used an ultra-matt paint that wasn’t suitable for a high-traffic area. It marked easily, showing every fingerprint and scuff. With two young children who love touching everything (and occasionally drawing on the walls!), it simply wasn’t practical.

To solve the problem, I repainted the media wall using Tikkurila Optiva Ceramic 3 – an extremely durable, highly washable ceramic paint designed for busy family homes. It offers excellent stain resistance while maintaining a beautiful, premium finish.

The results speak for themselves. 👌

The Story of one Repair…

These timber sash windows hadn’t been painted for over 20 years and were in poor condition. There was extensive wood rot, several areas required major repairs, and one sill had to be completely replaced.

To restore the damaged sections, I used epoxy resin compounds, rebuilding six heavily deteriorated areas and replacing a rotten sill. After all repairs were completed, I finished the windows with Weathershield High Gloss paint for maximum durability and weather protection.

The result is a fully restored set of sash windows with a high-quality finish designed to provide up to 10 years of protection against rain, UV exposure, and harsh weather conditions.
