π€ In April we did THIRTY TWO turnovers, a TWENTY HOUR End of Tenancy clean, EIGHT domestic cleans, EIGHT HOURS visiting our Intercare clients (plus many extra hours running errands) and a EIGHT HOUR monthly house clean!! So it's been very exhausting!!
π€ At the beginning of the month we said goodbye to our long term guests at Berkeley Grove in Bishop Auckland. There had been 7 workmen living in the 5 bed property which sleeps up to 12 guests.. I had been going into the property to change the bedding regularly and to clean and hoover but it was nearly impossible to move around because they were living out of suitcases. They were fantastic guests and left the house tidy but it took 20hrs to clean after they left β¨
At the clean every piece of furniture was pulled out so we could clean behind it all. The bathroom took hours on end (cleaned by Becky) because even though I had been going in fortnightly they would have taken 98 showers between my visits!! That's 630 showers while they were staying at the property!! Inside all of the drawers and cupboards were cleaned, a full stocktake was completed, the fridge freezer and oven were deep cleaned and the beds were made.. we hosted our new guests this weekend and I'm confident that they will be happy with the standard of cleanliness!
π€ Sadly this month my dear friend and first Intercare Cleaning and Companionship client, Marcella, had to say her final goodbye to her husband of nearly 60yrs. I helped her chose what to wear to his funeral and had her house cleaned by Louise and it was spotless ready for all of her visitors. I was honoured to be asked to the funeral and I'll make sure that Marcella is well taken care of while she grieves
π€ This month we had our first guests at the penthouse in Durham!! They gave 5* feedback and loved the finishing touches such as milk in the fridge, wine for the adults and chocolate for the kids!! Our next guests arrived this afternoon for a two week stay and we have more bookings coming up soon!!
π€ Cockfield was a challenge this week when I couldn't work out how to use the new electric socket for the hot tub.. thankfully I managed to get in touch with the owner Emily while she was tending to her cows and she talked me through it (basically what looked like a glass box over the socket was actually plastic and was easy enough to push the switch through it π€£π«£) the hot tub was drained, filled and up to temperature in time for the next guests to arrive!!
π€ It's been a very challenging month to say the least! But I knew we could do it because I have the best team! Thank you to Becky, John, Amirah, Louise and Dan for doing such an amazing job as always.. I'm extremely grateful to you all
π€ Thank you to my clients who continue to put their trust in me and my team!!
π€ Now let's see what May brings!!!
