Wow!! Another amazing month and now August has arrived!! 😎

In July we did THIRTY FIVE Turnovers, TEN Intercare Cleaning and Companionship visits, FIVE domestic cleans and did around ONE HUNDRED loads of laundry!! ✨

This month I continued to help out with Laburnum Cottage in Lanchester while Emily put the finishing touches to their newest property. I have absolutely loved helping out. The cottage is on the main street in Lanchester and while the sun has been shining I've been cleaning out the hot tub and enjoyed watching people relax and chat while sitting outside the bars and cafes in the village.. what a perfect place to stay!! Thank you Emily.. I'm happy to help whenever you need me!!

Lesley was a God send when I was away in Paris a few weeks ago. It's a great to know that you can have an uninterrupted break because you can rely on the people who are running your business while you are away. Thank you so much Lesley and Olivia for your hard work!! 🇫🇷

Louise has been taking good care of our elderly clients this month. We provide a cleaning service to elderly, disabled and vulnerable people but a lot of the time they would prefer help with tasks such as organising their cupboards or making the bed. Having a friendly cup of tea is a huge part of the service we provide. When someone is housebound it's vital that they have someone to chat to and that's why I love INTERCARE CLEANING AND COMPANIONSHIP. Louise continues to get fantastic feedback so thank you Louise!! 🫖

Also this month I've been helping Andrew spruce up his property in Cornforth.. he has the most amazing property which sleeps 12 guests!! Some beautiful throws and pillows on the beds have made a huge difference. I'll continue to do what I can to make the property a huge success!! I am also co hosting his property in Lanchester which I'm really excited about!! 🏠

Last week I had a (very small) fall which resulted in a massive lump and black bruise because of my blood thinners. My knee was agony!! Thankfully Amirah is working with me throughout the summer and she went above and beyond to make sure that no jobs were missed. I'm very proud of how hard she's working and I think we make a great team!!

So goodbye July and hello to a very busy August!! We already have THIRTY TWO Airbnb bookings, EIGHT Intercare visits and FOUR domestic cleans!! I hope everyone had a slightly more relaxed summer!! 🏖️

✨✨ This shower drain cover had been wedged on tight.. so when I finally got it off it revealed a lot of built up grime!! Nothing that some bleach, fairy liquid, a toothbrush and willpower can't fix!! ✨✨

✨✨ Don't you just love it when everything sparkles?!! ✨✨ Berkeley Grove is now guest ready!! We have workmen staying for the next 6mths so I'll be going in every few weeks to change the bedding, keep on top of the hoovering and cleaning plus reporting any maintenance issues.. I hope they enjoy their stay!! ✨✨

Ralph Lodge has also had a lot of comments about how clean and well presented the property is!! I'm very proud of this one.. Ralph Lodge is very special to me as I grew up there and it was the first Airbnb I took on when I started my business so reviews like these mean the world to me 🖤

It's been a while since I've been in Airbnb and had a look at my reviews.. so it was lovely to see these!! This is from Hornbeam House in Gileagate.. it's a beautiful 3 bed property within walking distance to Durham.. I've been doing the turnovers here for around a year now and I love working with Janet who owns the property. She takes such good care of her guests!!

As I've mentioned I've been helping Emily with her beautiful cottage in the heart of Lanchester. She sent me this wonderful feedback that came from the guest who stayed after I done my first clean there last week. I'm so pleased that the guest enjoyed her stay and that she will visit again in the future 🖤

Wow 😍 this is the back garden of the cottage I've been helping out with in Lanchester... This hot tub takes around 2hrs to drain, clean and refill but the guests are going to love it!! I feel very lucky to spend time in such a beautiful garden even when I'm working hard!!

🖤 What a successful month June was!!

🖤 Last month Amirah agreed to work with me so she can save some money to go travelling when she finishes sixth form. We decided that rather than employing her she should set up her own business and do some sub contract work for me as well as taking on a few domestic cleans in the holidays. So she's now the proud owner of ✨✨ AMIRAH SPARKLE ✨✨ good luck sweetheart I'm so proud!!

🖤 Unfortunately at the beginning of the month my client Emily, who owns the cottage at Esperley, told me that going forward she would be doing the turnovers there. Her children are both in nursery so she has plenty of spare time to take care of the property herself. While I'm gutted to have left it behind I'm so pleased that Emily is taking over.. I hope it continues to be successful and I'm always here if she needs a hand

🖤 Just before I went to New York last month I was asked to take over the cleaning and laundry for a 6 bed property in Cornforth. As I couldn't do the cleans Lesley stepped in but after I lost my Esperley contract she passed the client back to me. The property currently has workmen staying Monday to Friday and needs a lot of updating. I've been advising my client on how best to stage the property, what needs to be purchased and what maintenance issues need to be fixed before we can welcome leisure guests. It's an absolutely stunning house with a village pub next door and a green out front. It's located just off the A1 at Bowburn so it's in a perfect location. I'm sure this one will be a great success

🖤 Earlier this month my extremely talented daughter Amirah qualified to dance Latin in the Nationwide finals next year in Blackpool. While I was at her qualifying competition Ellie did the turnover at Ralph Lodge. She has never done an Airbnb before so she was really thrown in the deep end with such a big 4 bedroom property!! But she got excellent feedback from David who owns the property so I'm super proud of her!!

🖤 A few weeks ago Emily from Escape Beyond dropped me a message and asked if I could help with one of her holiday lets in Lanchester while she enjoyed a family holiday. The whole family pitches in at the property so while they were away I did the cleaning, laundry and hot tub maintenance. The hot tub sits 6 people so it's far bigger than I had ever worked with in the past but I didn't break it and it was up to temperature ready for the next guests 😂 I have been asked to do a few more turnovers there over the next week which I'm really happy about because it's a gorgeous property..Thank you for trusting me Emily!!

🖤 Last week a man who I contacted 3yrs ago when I started the business messaged me to ask if I could do a deep clean of a property he's got up for sale. While the clean itself wasn't difficult it was made nearly impossible because of the heat!! Washing windows and blinds when the sun is blazing on them was absolute torture but it got done and it looks amazing. Fingers crossed for a quick sale!!

🖤 My friend Rachel asked me last month to clean some of her holiday lets while she went on holiday. Unfortunately her son broke his arm just before they were due to go and the holiday was cancelled. She messaged a few days ago to rearrange so I'll be doing a few turnovers for her when she finally gets her well deserved holiday!!

🖤 So it's been busy but worth it!! Thank you as always to Dan for doing most of the laundry and to the team that I helped put together.. I'm glad I've got so many people I can trust with my business especially when I'm in Paris in a few weeks!!
