After 12 years of dedicated service at Solus Ceramics, including the last 7 years as part of the following a TUPE transfer, we say a heartfelt thank you and farewell to Jackie Spence on her retirement 🩶

Jackie has also been a valued member of our Solihull School contract for the past 3 years, consistently demonstrating professionalism, reliability and immense pride in her work every single day.

Her impact has been felt not only by our own operational team, but also by everyone at Solus Ceramics and Solihull School, with Solus even giving Jackie a wonderful ‘guard of honour’ to celebrate her retirement, a true reflection of the respect and appreciation she has earned throughout her career.

Contract Manager Maureen Francis visited Jackie and the wider team alongside Director Paul Concannon and Contract Support Manager Margaret Baker to personally thank her for her years of commitment and service.

Maureen Francis commented:

“Jackie has been an absolute credit to both We Clean, Solus Ceramics and Solihull School.

Her standards, professionalism and work ethic have always been exceptional, and she has been hugely respected by everyone around her. Jackie will be sorely missed and we wish her a long, happy and well deserved retirement.”

We Clean GREEN in motion ⚡🌿

As part of our continued commitment to leading the way in green cleaning, we’ve added two more fully electric vehicles to our fleet!

👉 This latest addition means 60% of our fleet is now fully electric, taking us another step closer to our commitment of operating a fully electric fleet by 2030.

Fittingly, our procurement team opted for MG, further strengthening our partnership with the iconic brand as we’ve proudly managed their Longbridge development site since 2018.

Ben Concannon, Finance and Management Graduate, commented:

“We were delighted to further extend our partnership with MG through Darren Keight at Paul Rigby.

We place great emphasis on reducing our environmental footprint and our impact on the communities within which we operate.

These two new fully electric vehicles will be utilised by Contract Managers Debbie Rhodes and Jane Shields across Birmingham and the wider Midlands.

The cars produce zero tailpipe emissions throughout their lifecycle, enabling us to fully align with our We Clean GREEN ethos and our ESG goals.”
