We’re hiring: Cleaning Operative

We’re looking for a reliable cleaning operative to join our team.

- 9 hours per week
- Mondays and Thursdays, with the option to work additional days
- Mobile role cleaning clients’ homes
- Work as part of a team of two
- No driving required

We work with a mixture of clients, each with their own needs, so flexibility and a considerate approach are important.

Living in the Three Towns area would be an advantage.

Previous domestic cleaning experience would be an advantage, but it’s not essential. A positive attitude and a good eye for detail are what matter.

Sometimes I look back and realise just how much things have changed. ❤️

There was a time when I would take every single cleaning enquiry that came my way, no matter where in Ayrshire it was. If someone needed a cleaner, I would find a way to get there! 🚗🧽

Those early days were about building a reputation, saying yes, working hard and slowly growing the business one client at a time.

Today, things look very different. We have fantastic teams out working every day and a busy schedule of regular clients and holiday lets. We’ve reached the point where we simply can’t take every enquiry that comes through the door — something I probably couldn't have imagined when I first started.

But one thing hasn’t changed: I still want to help.

So rather than simply saying, “Sorry, we don’t cover your area,” we now pass enquiries on to other trusted and respected cleaning companies that we know will look after them.

I think there’s something really lovely about reaching a stage in business where you can pass work on and support other local companies too.

We might technically be competitors, but we’re also small businesses trying to build something, employ local people and provide a good service.

There’s room for all of us. 🤝❤️

And when I think back to the days of driving all over Ayrshire trying to fit in every clean myself… I’m pretty proud of how far we’ve come.

There comes a point in business where you realise you can't be everything to everyone.

Over the years, we've gone above and beyond for our clients. We've shared advice, solved problems that weren't ours to solve, done the little extras that many wouldn't even think about, and always tried to deliver the highest possible standard.

Sometimes, despite all of that, people still move on.

At one time I took that personally. Now I understand it's simply part of running a business.
