NEWS | A temporary speed restriction has been introduced on the A465 at the Locks Garage crossroads (Hereford to Abergavenny Road) from 10 November following community concerns about safety on the carriageway.

The council has reduced the national speed limit from 60mph to 40mph for an 18-month trial period. The impact of this change will be regularly monitored in partnership with local stakeholders.

Cllr Barry Durkin, Cabinet Member for Roads and Regulatory Services, said: “We have listened to the concerns of our residents and local businesses and as a result we have implemented a temporary speed reduction. Results will be monitored to assess whether this action improves highway safety, or whether we need to introduce further measures. Any further actions will be considered in conjunction with the local community.”

Here at Locks we stock feed for all types of animals including horses, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets,dogs, cats,sheep, pigs, goats, cows to name probably most of them. We stock several types of bird feed as well as assorted wild bird options; there are specialist feeds such as Robin and Songbird, parakeet and Cockatiel, Trapping and Conditioning in larger bags. Suet pellets, mealworms, parrot super deluxe plus fruit, fat balls and so on in tubs.

As well as that, we sell a wide range of Coals suitable for open fires, multi fuel stoves and ray burns to stay warm throughout these cold and wet months.
