Following a sucessful restructuring of the business model and further expansion of services we have changed our name. This is because we felt we are offering more than just property management services now. But that of course still remains at the core of our business so existing clients, no fear you will still get the same service that we have always provided.

We continue to expand our customer portfolio so we are now looking for extra team members who could help us going forward this year and beyond.

We are looking for housekeepers to service holiday homes in the Sarlat/Domme/Carsac/Daglan areas.

Applicants must have an eye for detail, be reliable, be able to take instruction and advice, Driving Licence an advantage but not essential.

You must be an AE/Micro enterprise or be willing to apply for this regime. No CESU.

24250 Dordogne Property Management, as the Emergency health policy in France has been extended to the end of July, there are ramifications to second/ holiday home owners getting to their properties in France. It could be that if you do manage to visit you may have to go into imposed quarantine for two weeks😲.

Hi All,

PM briefing just finished for the plan of de-confinement in France.

Everything below is an interpretation of the speech as given hopefully its correct and as I see it.

Importantly for all, cases MUST fall below 3000 per day otherwise a postponement is on the cards.
The doctrine is Protect, Test, Isolate. So masks will be a recommendation for the Protection stage.

In general it will be a staged opening starting on the 11th May, with schools, shops, and markets (up to the Mayor/prefecture) heading towards 2nd June. It also looks like the opening will be done in regions with the "best" performing opening first.

The monitoring for the Department/General opening will start on the 7th May, so as the government can get a lead in to the 11th.

When the stores open they must employ social distancing protocol.

From now until 11th May there will be 60 documents written to cover operations of commerces etc. Yes 60! As instructions for the de confinement.

Bars/Restaurants will not be allowed to opening.

Working from home will be strongly encouraged from today for a further 3 weeks.

The permits will be withdrawn on 11th May unless travelling over 100Kms

Groups of 10 persons or more, inside or outside are banned.

Thats it.

Hello to all who follow us on here.

We have just had our speech from the President.....we are still in lockdown, this will remain in place till, 11th May.

After this time France will start to open. Schools, businesses and factories will start to function.

Unfortunately the hospitality business hasn't faired so well, in that all places of mass gathering inclusive of Cafe's, Resto's , Hotel's, Concerts etc. will be shut till at least until July.

I feel for the owners of the restaurants in Sarlat. Those of you who have had experience of the town knows that it relies on this side of the hospitality business in spades and personally I think some will not survive, but fingers crossed.

Borders for non EU citizens will remain shut indefinitely at this time. If any of our clients have guests from outside the EU it might be a time to call it quits on these guests, opening those weeks up to European travellers.

From our side of things we remain fairly positive. If people can travel within the EU what better place to be than in your own rented house away from the madding crowd and in effect self isolating. The Food shops will be open (They are now) and you will be able to pop about but the guest will probably have to do all their own cooking!

We cannot comment on the Tourist attractions, we can only assume that they will have to remain shut or be inventive in their operation before July. (or maybe beyond).

We remain at the disposal of our existing clients and of course new clients too, to provide property services to your holiday/second home.

Property Management, inclusive of Cleaning, Changeovers, Gardening, Power washing, Swimming pool maintenance, Security checks, Bricolage tasks and of course do not forget the new service of chimney sweeping....important now the burning season is over.

In fact anything you need, we are here to help in these difficult times. If we cannot do it ourselves we know someone that does.

So do not hesitate to contact us, even if it's just for a reassuring chat.

Hi to all on here,

We are all concerned about the present situation across the world and making sure that we all remain safe under the circumstances.

I just wanted to put a few facts out there, primarily about the situation in Sarlat and the surrounding areas.

We felt compelled to comment here after a strap line I received from AIRBNB tied in with a guest cancellation this morning.

At the time of writing (Situations change, hour by hour), there are no reported cases in Sarlat or the nearby area. In total they have been 3 reported cases in the whole of the Dordogne. The first was a holidaymaker coming back from Italy. He is/was now in Limoges Hospital and it was reported Monday of this last week. The other two have been told to self isolate after a visit to Brittany. The information I state here is backed up by the map I have provide below via the link. Please have a look.

Returning to the strap line on AIRBNB. It said, " Your guest has cancelled due to Covid 19 in Sarlat La Caneda", this is an outright untruth.

What we are finding is that French citizens are potentially taking up "world" cancellations but if they get feedback in the form of this untruth then Sarlat La Canedas' and the surrounding tourism industry will suffer two fold in losing bookings from both booking streams.

Sarlat Mairie is being proactive in trying to protect its citizens and is reminding all to follow the government guidelines (and more) so as to protect ourselves. At this time life goes on as normal, the supermarkets are full, the shops are open etc.

As far as reservations are concerned we have to respect guests requests to cancel, their safety and their families safety is paramount.

As a business we will take all precautions necessary to ensure the safety of your guests pre-arrival and be on hand if they or you have any concerns. We are reviewing our practices to ensure that all holiday lets will be safe as well as clean.

Of course we have to look after ourselves too. We will be meeting guests on your behalf so we will have to modify some services to suit.

At this time and until things settle down we will be suspending all meet and greet services. We will still be there if needed by phone and as a safety net for your guest as normal but this is a way of reducing contact for us with the unknown. We hope you understand this stance.
