Myth or Fact : Duct tape is made for ducts… right? 🤔

Even Jason couldn’t keep a straight face on this one. 😄

MYTH. Ironic, we know.

Despite its name, regular duct tape doesn’t hold up on ducts. We use metal tape, a specific aluminum tape made for the job.

Ta maison a une chambre plus froide que les autres, même quand le chauffage fonctionne? 
Ce n’est pas dans ta tête, et ce n’est pas nécessairement ta fournaise. 
Dans la plupart des cas, c’est un problème de ventilation. L’air chaud part de la fournaise au sous-sol, mais en chemin, une partie s’échappe par les petites fuites dans les conduits et dans les plafonds. 
Résultat : la pièce la plus loin ne reçoit pas assez d’air chaud. Tu paies pour cette chaleur, mais elle ne se rend pas à destination.
 La solution :

* Sceller les conduits de l’intérieur avec la technologie Aeroseal, pour que l’air chaud se rende enfin dans chaque pièce.

* Si le froid persiste, vérifier l’isolation du grenier ou de la maison, souvent responsable des zones d’air froid.

C’est quoi la meilleure température à garder dans ta maison cet hiver?

Pas besoin de chercher le chiffre parfait. La bonne température, c’est celle où tu es confortable pendant la journée. Par exemple, 22 degrés.
 Ensuite, la règle est simple :

* Quand tu es au travail, baisse de 2 à 3 degrés
* La nuit, baisse de 2 degrés aussi
* Évite les écarts de plus de 2 à 3 degrés, sinon ton système doit travailler beaucoup plus fort pour remonter la température
 Petit bonus : une chambre un peu plus fraîche aide ton corps à s’endormir plus facilement et à profiter d’un sommeil plus profond. Les spécialistes du sommeil suggèrent environ 18 °C. 
C’est comme ça que tu vas chercher les meilleures économies d’énergie sur l’année, tout en restant confortable.
