Al Smyth wasn’t just an employee to me — he was part of the foundation that helped build everything we’ve accomplished over the past 25 years. Loyalty like his is rare. From day one, Al showed up not just ready to work, but ready to give his best, no matter what the job demanded. He took pride in what he did, and you could always count on him — not only to get the job done, but to get it done right.
Over time, that reliability and dedication grew into something more meaningful than a working relationship. Al became someone I trusted, respected, and was proud to call my friend. He had a steady presence, a good heart, and a way of making the long days easier just by being there. The kind of person who didn’t ask for recognition, but deserved it every single day.
His passing leaves a space that can’t be filled — not just in the workplace, but in the lives of those who knew him. I’ll always be grateful for the years we worked side by side, for his loyalty, and for the friendship we shared. Al will be deeply missed, and he won’t ever be forgotten. RIP my friend.
