A beautiful surprise for WillowTree 37. 💚

We’ve recently received the most generous donation from the Warwick Men's Shed Inc - a massage chair they restored and gave a new life before being passed on to us. What a gift.

This special addition will offer a little extra comfort and care for the women who visit our centre. A quiet moment to rest, reset and feel supported.

We’re so grateful for the kindness and community spirit shown by the Warwick Men’s Shed. Thank you for your amazing support. 💚

Did you know coercive control is a criminal offence in Queensland?

This means it is illegal for an adult to use abusive behaviours to control, scare, isolate or dominate their current or former partner, a family member, or an unpaid carer.

These behaviours can be physical or non physical, including things like:
💸 Financial abuse
📱 Technology abuse
💔 Emotional abuse
📍 Stalking

If an adult intentionally uses these behaviours to control another person, they can face up to 14 years imprisonment.

If you're worried that you may be experiencing coercive control or know someone who may be experiencing it there are resources, help and support available.

A big thank you to Country Heart Events for their incredibly generous $1000 donation to WillowTree 37, raised through their Artisan at Kings event during Jumpers & Jazz. 💚

We are so grateful for your ongoing support and community spirit.

Congratulations to all the talented artisan craft stall holders who created such a beautiful event, and to the entrants and winners of the Head Turners and Jazzed Up Jumpers competition. The creativity on display was truly something special. ✨

🚨 AusAlert will be tested in Queensland at 2pm on Monday 27 July 2026.

AusAlert is an emergency warning system that uses the latest technology to send alerts directly to compatible mobile devices (smartphones, smartwatches and tablets) during disasters.

For domestic violence victims with a hidden safe phone (as part of their plan to leave), this could prove dangerous as the testing could alert a perpetrator to the presence of a hidden phone.

THE SOUND WILL PLAY EVEN IF ON SILENT 🔕

If receiving an AusAlert test message will disrupt you or cause you or a family member to feel unsafe, turn off your mobile devices or switch them to aeroplane mode before the scheduled test time in your location and leave them off for at least one hour.

While AusAlerts contain important information to help keep you safe during a disaster, the only way to not receive a Critical Alert is to turn your mobile device off or switch it to ‘aeroplane mode’ for the duration of the test.

Women who visit WillowTree 37 enjoyed complimentary haircuts today with Kylie Wickham's Mobile hairdressing - a moment of care, confidence and a little lift in their day.

A fresh haircut can mean so much. It’s not just about appearance - it’s about feeling seen, supported and ready to take on what’s ahead.

Thank you to Kylie for your time once again. It truly means a lot to the women we support. 💜
