Fire ants are active as the weather warms up.

Here’s what to look for.

🐜 Small ants, copper-brown with a darker abdomen
🐜 Mounds of loose, crumbly soil with no obvious entry hole
🐜 Mounds in open, sunny spots like lawns, garden beds and paddocks
🐜 Ants that swarm out fast when the mound is disturbed

Fire ants are aggressive and their stings are painful. They can harm pets, livestock and wildlife too.

If you think you’ve found them, don’t touch the mound, be sure to give our team a call.
