🌿 We're Hiring: Home Garden & Yard Maintenance Worker (Casual / Part-Time)

Click ACS is a proud majority Aboriginal-owned business supporting elderly and vulnerable clients to live well at home. We're looking for a reliable, friendly person to help keep our clients' gardens and yards safe, tidy and enjoyable across the Port Macquarie area.

What you'll be doing:
✅ Lawn mowing, edging and whipper snipping
✅ Weeding, pruning and general garden tidy-ups
✅ Green waste removal and basic yard upkeep
✅ Pressure washing and gutter cleaning
✅ Checking in on client welfare and reporting any concerns
✅ Bringing a happy, friendly attitude to every visit

What you'll need:
🔹 Experience in pressure washing and gutter cleaning preferred, but not essential
🔹 National Police Check + Working with Children Check
🔹 First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009), or willingness to obtain
🔹 Valid unrestricted driver's licence + registered, insured vehicle
🔹 Smartphone with data
🔹 Genuine care, reliability and great communication

What we offer:
🌱 $33-$35 per hour (above award)
🌱 $0.99/km mileage reimbursement (if using own car)
🌱 Flexible weekday roster (Mon–Fri), 15–25 hours a week with room to grow
🌱 Paid leave, training, equipment provided and staff bonuses

🔥 Welcome to winter.

There’s something special about the first cold snap. The excuse to light the fire, wrap up in something warm, and slow down just a little.

As we head into the cooler months, we wanted to take a moment to check in on the people who matter most to us. Our elderly community members can be more vulnerable during winter than we sometimes realise.

A few gentle reminders to keep your loved ones safe and well this season:

🧥 Layer up. Keeping warm reduces the risk of illness and keeps energy levels up.

🍲 Warm, nutritious meals make a real difference. Soups, stews, and hot drinks aren’t just comforting, they’re genuinely good for you.

💊 Stay on top of medications and GP appointments. Cold weather can sometimes affect how we feel, so it’s a good time to check in with your GP if anything seems off.

🚪 Check in on neighbours and family who live alone. A knock on the door or a phone call can mean everything.

☀️ Get some daylight when you can. Even a short time outside on a sunny winter’s day does wonders for your mood and energy.

What’s your fondest memory of your grandparents?🌸

This weekend, I’m visiting my grandparents in Central West NSW.
It got me thinking about one of my most vivid memories: Walking through the door and finding fresh scones, hot on the table, almost every single time. ☕️

That smell. That warmth. That feeling of being completely looked after.
