Each year, C2A supports over 300 people to live independently, nearly 200 through skill-building and inclusion programs, and around 150 through supported employment.

Donations help keep that work going, from respite care and employment to community programs where people learn, connect and try new things.

A volunteer shift at a C2A op shop is a mix of small, practical jobs that add up.

You might sort through and prepare donated goods for sale, keep the racks stocked, refresh a display so it catches people walking past, help a shopper find the right size, or take payments at the register.

You will be working alongside local people with disability who are enjoying a job in retail.

The shops offer inexpensive clothing and household items to local residents, give people work experience, and keep useful items out of landfill.

What C2A earns goes towards equipment and aids, community programs, vehicles for outings, and employment and skills training.

Volunteers are welcome at the shops in Mildura, Traralgon and Wonthaggi.

Spring has a way of catching a mowing schedule out.

The routine that worked through winter meets a few warm days and some rain, and suddenly the verges, paths and edges are a week behind. Then come the phone calls and the scramble to find someone who can be there this afternoon.

If that sounds familiar, the answer is usually a better plan rather than a harder push. A grounds maintenance contract with a regular crew adjusts the visits through the year: more mowing in the busy growing months, and other jobs like edging, pruning and path cleaning when growth slows.

It also means the same team turns up, learns your site, and has a named person accountable for what gets done and when.

This role is perfect for people looking to get back into the workforce and semi-retired gardeners, former groundskeepers, maintenance workers, or anyone who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in a job well done. Whether you're available one day a week or several days, we'd love to hear from you.

Seasonal Work Patterns
Our busiest period is September through to March, when gardening demand is at its highest. During these months, work opportunities are typically more frequent. Outside of peak season, work is available as required based on customer demand and contract commitments.

C2A is seeking reliable and experienced gardening subcontractors to assist us in delivering gardening and property maintenance services across Melbourne's south-eastern suburbs.

We're looking to build a network of trusted contractors who can be called upon as required to help us meet customer demand and fulfil our growing portfolio of contracts.
