RATS CHEW THROUGH CAR ENGINE CAUSING FIRE

A car fire caused by rats has shut down a street in Moss Vale, with firefighters rushing to put out the blaze.

Fire and Rescue extinguished the blaze and sent out a reminder to vehicle owners to keep an eye out for rodents who may seek shelter under the bonnet of cars.

“Unfortunately rats also find the wiring systems in cars and other vehicles perfect for nibbling and chewing on in to keep their teeth sharp," Moss Vale Fire and Rescue said in a Facebook post.
