3 YEARS OF BLAKE’S PEST CONTROL!

Today marks 3 years since we took the leap and purchased Blake’s Pest Control.

3 years of hard work, plenty of termites, plenty of laughs and thankfully, some bloody good customers along the way!

And yes… I actually managed to get Ben to be in a photo for once!

A massive THANK YOU to every single one of our clients for supporting our small business over the last 3 years.

3 years down, but hopefully many, many more to go!

TWO YEARS

We never really post about our personal lives on our business page, but today, we thought we would make an exception.

Today, we are celebrating 2 years of marriage!

Most of you have probably only ever seen us in our uniforms and steel caps… so we thought it was about time you saw what we look like when we scrub up a little!

2 years married, plenty of laughs, a few arguments, and a lifetime still to go.

Ben and Jen, your pest control friends!

TERMITES

1 in 3 homes in SE Queensland could get termites!

Scary thought, but termites are a very real problem around here.

Having our warm Queensland climate, termites can be active all year and can do a LOT of damage before you even know they are there.

A few things that can increase the risk:
• Garden beds or soil against the house
• Leaking taps or damp areas
• Tree stumps and old timber
• Poor drainage around the home

The best thing you can do is catch them early.
If you haven't had your home checked recently, give us a call, and we'll be happy to have a look.

Don't wait until you find termites, by then, they have already found you!

RODENTS

Rodents are more than just a nuisance, they are a health risk!

In Queensland, rats and mice can spread diseases such as Leptospirosis and Salmonella, while also contaminating food and living areas.

They can also cause expensive damage by chewing electrical wiring (fire risk), damaging insulation and timber, nesting in roof voids and wall cavities

If you have noticed scratching in the roof, droppings, or gnaw marks, it's time to act.
