Founded by two friends in Melbourne who over the past few years have become increasingly conscious of the economic, social and environmental impacts of what they consume. As regular event and music festival goers, the large volumes of unnecessary waste didn't go unnoticed, or the fact that certain wastes such as single-use disposable cups could realistically be preventable. This led to the thought

, "There must be a better way!" and after researching alternatives and designing the necessary systems, the decision was made to create bettercup. Bettercup is dedicated to creating fun and simple environmental solutions that reduce unnecessary waste. We provide:

To our friends organising festivals - don’t sleep on this one! 🤩

The Live Music Festivals Fund grant is open again, but applications close on 31 March. Eligible festivals can access up to $50,000 in funding for events running between July 2026 and June 2027.

1 week down, 2 go at Perth Fringe World Festival ! 🎡

It’s been a great start with nearly 2,500 cups washed and returned to the festival - that means 20kg of waste and 3 wheelie bins full already saved!

Perth Fringe World is dedicated to improving their reusables system each year and it shows 👏👏

This is such an exciting opportunity for us to support Tennis Australia as they continue to set the benchmark for sustainable event operations on the world stage!

A little look inside Canva’s Christmas party and our reusable cups in action! ✨

We worked with The Event Room to support Canva’s Christmas celebration. Over 2,500 reusable cups were delivered within 24 hours, ready to be refilled and circulated throughout the event!
