We’re so proud to be stocking Truly at Tolemans Dry Cleaning Ashgrove — a family with dry cleaning in their blood and more than 75 years of garment-care history behind them.

Their story began in Melbourne in 1947 as a laundry operation, with dry cleaning established in 1953. Today, the third and fourth generations continue that legacy, with the Ashgrove plant having been part of the family for 40 years.

And then there’s Julie. ❤️ (don’t ask for her, she’s actually retired, however if you do see her either somethings gone wrong or someone’s on an extended break lol) she is the wedding dress guru with more than 40 years of dry cleaning and alterations experience, Julie learnt the trade from a young age in Melbourne and has been caring for garments ever since. Nathan her son (Marist old boy) is the master shifu of anything dry cleaning. Known best for bringing back garments from the dead ☠️

We’ve not only been lucky enough to have Tolemans stock Truly, but they’ve also been incredibly generous in sharing their knowledge and helping us learn more about the industry and the art of properly caring for garments.

That’s something we value enormously.

Because Truly has always been about more than just removing a stain. It’s about helping people care for the clothes they love — and who better to learn from than generations of people who have been doing exactly that? 👗✨
