Queensland Health COVID-19 cases updates!

Seven new cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed in Queensland.

This takes the state total to 68 which includes 3 passengers from the Diamond Princess Cruise Ship.

1. A 22-year-old female is being managed by the Brisbane Metro South Public Health Unit after being confirmed with COVID-19.
2. A 38-year-old male is being managed by the Brisbane Metro North Public Health Unit after being confirmed with COVID-19.
3. A 45-year-old male is being managed by the Brisbane Metro North Public Health Unit after being confirmed with COVID-19.
4. A 30-year-old female is being managed by the Brisbane Metro North Health Unit after being confirmed with COVID-19.
5. A 26-year-old female is being managed by the Brisbane Metro South Public Health Unit after being confirmed with COVID-19.
6. A 57-year-old male is being managed by the Brisbane Metro South Public Health Unit after being confirmed with COVID-19.
7. A 77-year-old female, deceased. Contact tracing is being managed by the Sunshine Coast Public Health Unit after being confirmed with COVID-19.

Queensland Health can confirm all cases remain isolated in appropriate accommodation to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Contact tracing is still underway for these new cases. Queensland Health will notify the community if any other public health alerts are required.

Queensland Health is urging anyone who has been overseas in the last 14 days and has a fever or any respiratory symptoms to see a doctor immediately.

Please call ahead to the GP surgery and let them know your symptoms and travel history, this will help them prepare for your arrival.

Queenslanders can do their part by practicing good hygiene and staying home if you’re sick.
