The cleaning industry is full of different businesses, and that's a wonderful thing because not everyone is looking for the same style of cleaning. Every cleaner brings something different to the table, and there's room for all of us.
Unfortunately, the industry can also be incredibly toxic at times. I've recently learned that it's important not to believe everything you hear. Fake profiles exist. Rumours spread. Some people try to damage another business's reputation without evidence.
I've decided to live by one simple rule: No evidence, no truth.
It has reminded me how important it is to focus on my own business and the values that matter most.
Here's what Detailed Home Cleans stands for:
✨ We only share real homes that we've actually cleaned.
✨ We use real photos, not AI-generated images pretending to be our work.
✨ Our website (currently being built) will showcase genuine information and real results.
✨ We don't poach clients. If someone contacts us because they're unhappy elsewhere, we'll happily help, but sometimes a cleaner and client simply aren't the right fit. That doesn't make anyone a bad cleaner.
✨ We choose quality over quantity. We don't clean more than two homes a day or more than seven hours of cleaning because we believe every client deserves our absolute best. Fatigue affects attention to detail, and our standards are too important to compromise.
✨ We value consistency and invest in our team because our clients deserve the same high standard every visit.
This year I entered some business awards simply to understand how they worked. I quickly learned that many awards rely on self-nominations and public voting. There are some incredibly deserving finalists, and I'm genuinely happy for everyone celebrating their achievements.
For me personally, I'd rather earn recognition through the quality of my work and the trust of my clients than by asking people to vote. That's simply the path I've chosen, and I respect that others may choose differently.
If you're looking for a cleaner, my advice is simple:
• Look for genuine reviews from real clients.
• Look for real photos of real work.
• Ask questions.
• Choose someone whose values match what's important to you.
At Detailed Home Cleans, authenticity will always come before appearances.
Because trust isn't built through likes, followers or fancy marketing.
It's built one clean at a time. 🤍
