Bungalow Chef/Manager Role
We are a new restaurant with seating capacity off around 200 guests located in the heart of Wooloongabba.
Now that we are in the final stages of building, we are looking for that perfect team member to compliment what we have to offer. With a Café, Bar, Buffet and Restaurant, the right applicant must have the required knowledge to oversee all facets of the business including but not limited to; Ordering, Food Safety, Team Training, Opens/Closes, Hiring.. A great opportunity to make this your own!
As the business is yet to open, (Due to open Mid May) ideally you will have experience in setting up a well-oiled machine.
You will oversee Food Preparation, Manage Staff, be in control of Budgeting and Purchasing of Kitchen Supplies as well as maintaining Inventory. You will also be able to Create Menus and implement new operational ideas.
Key Selection Criteria:
• Professional qualifications
• Proven experience in management of a professional kitchen operation
• Food Safety Supervisor and HACCP
• Self motivated with the ability to lead and motivate the Team
• Professional pride and organisational skills
• Administration and technology skills including word processing and spreadsheets
• Workplace health & safety (ability to design sign off sheets for all areas of kitchen ) eg; opening and closing procedures, cleaning schedules
• Proven experience with managing budgets, menu development and menu costing
• Minimum 3 years proven successful staff supervision experience and staff rosters
• Experience in maintaining KPI’s, wages percentages
• Experience in training of apprentices and motivation of staff
• Experience with stock management and monthly audits
• Significant Restaurant & Cafe management/cooking
• Excellent personal hygiene
• Food Hygiene Certificate
