MOONEY MOONEY CREEK - Crash - Old Pacific Hwy Closed.
FINAL UPDATE: Crash investigation has now been completed and the road has re-opened in both directions.
UPDATE 2.50pm: Careflight has departed for Royal North Shore Hospital. Road remains closed. Ongoing police investigations are expected to take some time.
UPDATE 2PM: The medical team from Careflight is at the crash site treating the patient before transporting to the landing zone. The road is expected to remain closed for an extended period due to crash investigation. If travelling south on the Old Pacific Hwy, please join the M1 Pacific Motorway at Kariong and rejoin the old road at Peats Ridge Rd at Calga.
INITIAL REPORT:
Careflight helicopter, along with NSW Ambulance Paramedics, are responding to a reported crash, motorcycle/car, on the Old Pacific Highway at Mooney Mooney Creek, near Karool Road.
The Pacific Hwy is currently blocked in both directions between Peats Ridge Road and Myoora Road. Please use the M1 as an alternative route.
Careflight will be overhead shortly and expected to land to Kariong Oval.
UPDATE: Careflight has now landed.
