That’s this morning done!
We’ve just attended the Be.Bendigo Bendigo Business Excellence Awards nomination celebration at Bendigo Airport, so many new faces & great to catch up with others we know

Then a lovely business lunch, supporting local business Peppergreen Farm Catering and supporting the disabled learning new skills and being an integral part of our community, gaining skills, communication & connection.

We thought lunch was important to piece together some more of our business plan moving forward!

Please be advised that we will be closed for a month - in a months time! Closed Saturday 6th June, reopening Wednesday 8th July.
We still have a few spaces available in a couple of weeks and we can most certainly book you in now for your cleaning in July, on our return.

We've attended the Super Expo for window furnishings previously and thought it was time to do it again. I've been trying to book since February, but they tell me it's something to do with our server! Anyway, we got there!
We have our tickets for the daily admission, the Gala Dinner and Awards - Cocktail Party with comedian Dave Hughes as the MC. and I've booked into two business classes - how we can better serve our customers and secrets of scaling with confidence.

We had a trip out of town this week, towards Ballarat, to re-cord a very large and old blind. It took a lot longer than expected.
Lovely people and stunning property. Many of the gardens are Japanese inspired, with an outdoor shower, which is used daily in all seasons!

This isn’t the shower below, but how stunning is this photo! I wonder if I could get one built like this (made out of old railway sleepers) 😜

This morning we had our monthly business meeting at Solterra & Vine (formerly Balgownie Winery).

So much to do, think and write up for our application and nomination in the Bendigo Business Excellence Awards.

It would be so easy to answer with ABC, you need to almost write an essay for each question and it’s a little tricky answering some, when questions aren’t really that relevant to our business.

One section nominated ‘employer of choice’ we’ll have to pull out of, as it’s just the two of us.

Now must be time for bed. Stay warm as the nights are really starting to cool down and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

We’ve just had this question come in over night. Here is my reply this morning:

Unfortunately once the blockout lining is damaged, the curtains are no good. We don’t recommend washing in the machine, not only can it ruin curtains, but cause shrinkage.
If you know someone who sews curtains, they may be able to unstitch the lining from the front fabric and sew new lining on (if the front is worth saving)?
Or they could be replaced with brand new curtains from one of the curtain companies here in Bendigo, all great businesses.
If this is out of your budget, you could try ready made curtains from spotlight.
If you’d like to replace with blinds, we can arrange that for you. All our blinds are Australian made and owned.
Keeping in mind spotlight/bunnings ready made blinds may not fit and need cutting down, if the window isn’t a standard size. More expense and we’re unable to purchase replacement parts for these brands.
