Today’s job involved repairing a broken sewer main located beneath a retaining wall using Pipe Relining Technology — a fantastic no-dig solution that can save thousands in excavation costs when suitable. 🙌

✅ High-pressure water jetting to clear roots and debris
✅ CCTV drain camera inspection to locate and measure the defect
✅ Installation of a specialised epoxy liner into the damaged section
✅ Cured in place to create a strong new pipe within the existing pipe
✅ Final CCTV inspection confirming a successful repair

🐶🚨 NEW TEAM MEMBER ALERT 🚨🐶

Everybody meet Frankie… our new 6 month old Moodle “attack trained” guard dog 🤣😂

Safe to say she’s already made herself right at home with the FastFix family ❤️

Frankie is officially the newest member of both our family AND the FastFix Drains team. She’s a tiny fluffy ball of chaos, cuddles and attitude… and honestly, she fits into our family perfectly 😜🐾

Her main role will be working closely with Office Manager LC in administration and customer relations… although at this stage she mainly specialises in:
🐶 Following everyone around
🐶 Sleeping on the job
🐶 Random zoomies through the office
🐶 Supervising snack breaks
🐶 And making sure everyone stays in line 😂

So if you call the office for a plumbing or drainage job and hear a little “yap yap yap” in the background… don’t worry, that’s just Frankie making sure the office is running efficiently 🤣🐾

This old rusted steel water tank had finally reached the end of its life 😳
The tank burst, split open and left the property without reliable water supply.

Just look at the photos of the inside of the old tank 🤢
Years of old dirty sludge, sediment and build-up sitting in the bottom of the tank… definitely time for an upgrade 🚨

Because of access and the size of the old steel tank, it actually had to be cut up into sections with grinders just to remove it safely 🔥✂️

FastFix Drains got stuck in and handled the full replacement from start to finish ✅

🔧 Removed and disposed of old burst steel tank
🔧 Cut old tank into sections for safe removal
🔧 Supplied & installed brand-new poly water tank
🔧 Installed new pipework & fittings
🔧 Connected trickle feed top-up system
🔧 Reconnected pump system
🔧 Supplied a one-off fresh water fill to get the clients back up and running immediately 💦

Now the clients have fresh, clean water back to the house, reliable storage and peace of mind again 🙌🏡

🚨 AFTER HOURS EMERGENCY CALLOUT 🚨

This poor family came home tonight after a long day at work to find their home flooded 😔💧

An upstairs bathroom flexi hose burst underneath the vanity, flooding the bathroom and hallway upstairs, then leaking through the ceiling into the kitchen and hallway downstairs.

Clients believe it may have been running for around 5 hours before they got home… absolutely heartbreaking seeing the amount of water damage caused from one small plumbing failure.

The cause?
A burst braided flexi hose.

⚠️ These hoses are one of the MOST common causes of household flooding and many people never even think to check them.

Over time they can rust, weaken and suddenly fail without warning.

Tonight we:
✔️ Isolated the water
✔️ Removed the failed hose and mixer
✔️ Made everything safe for the night
✔️ Carried out further checks through the home
✔️ Found additional rusty flexi hoses that are also at risk of failure
✔️ Returning tomorrow to replace the bathroom fittings and additional faulty hoses

The clients were incredibly grateful we could get there quickly and help.

🚽 Wow… this toilet changeover was definitely well overdue 😳

This job came through as a referral from a mate for an 84-year-old pensioner who was struggling to find a plumber she felt she could genuinely trust and not get taken advantage of.

That’s where FastFix Drains stepped in 💪

After meeting with the client and investigating a few plumbing concerns around the home, this was the major issue needing urgent attention.

Honestly, it was heartbreaking hearing that she had been too worried to call someone sooner because she didn’t know who she could trust.

Once we removed the old toilet cistern, we discovered a leaking inlet valve had been spraying water behind the system and against the wall for a long time. Unfortunately this created a large amount of hidden black mould that the client couldn’t even see because items were stored on top of the toilet area.

We got straight to work:✔️ Removed the faulty cistern✔️ Cleaned and treated the mould affected area✔️ Sanitised and cleaned down the wall✔️ Went the extra mile and headed to Bunnings to source waterproof wall sheeting to give the area a fresh clean finish✔️ Custom cut and secured the panel into place✔️ Installed a brand new cistern, toilet seat, flexi hose and water connection✔️ Silicone sealed and cleaned the whole area

The existing toilet pan itself was still in good condition, so there was no need to replace something that didn’t need replacing 👍

The transformation was incredible and the client was absolutely ecstatic with the final result. Best part is she now has a clean, safe toilet area and no longer has to worry about hidden mould or ongoing leaks.
