On day 1 Preston had a nervous start to the Wa dirt kart title giving up the lead in heat 1 and struggling to get the job done in heat 2 finishing 4th
Day 2 he was back but unfortunately he got binned in heat 3 and suffered a DNF heat 4 he finished strongly in 1st position then a 3rd to finish out the day
Day 3 with only 1 race remaining he finished 2nd behind the current Australian champ.
So after all of that we managed to finish 4th overall, plenty of could have should have would have but we were proud he bounced back after what happened.

While we have been quiet on FB we have still been racing, we made a return to the black top a couple of weekends ago, we had been out of that kart for around 2 months and it showed. We had the club day on the 9th on a layout and direction we had not ran beforehand it took a couple of sessions to get back into it and used to the track. We missed out on the podium due to equal points then going to a count back to qualifying, so 4th overall it was not to bad for so long out and no practice. Last weekend we were in Geraldton for the first time for the state round and the rustiness followed us there as well, we didn’t get to post a lap time in quali due to binning it on the opening lap it was all up hill or should I say “up in the air” from there Preston battled back from 19th to 11th in heat 1 and I think 11th to 7th in heat 2 then contact from behind in the Saturday final seen the biggest incident we have been involved in and was right in front of me on the track. He managed to get the kart going and made his way back through the field from last to 8tb with a bent kart and busted rim, Sunday wasn’t much better result wise. We’ll be back on the dirt tomorrow for our last outing till states.

Belated race recap, we had some bad luck in heat 3 avoiding a crash seen us DNF but not a bad hit out, struggled for pace in heat 1 but dialled it in for heat 2 and 4.

Tough day at the office yesterday, an issue with our entry had us starting off the back row all day, a mistake and a racing incident in front had us with 2 DNF’s from 2 starts! Then the show started.
Can’t wait to hit the road to Wagin this weekend.

🏁 South Australia Double Header Recap 🏁

We flew from Perth to Adelaide to take on two race meetings, and what a trip it turned out to be.

Our first stop was the Legends of Morgan race at the Morgan Dirt Kart Club, where we battled against a quality field and came away with 4th Overall. A great way to kick off the weekend with plenty of tough racing and valuable experience.

From there, we hit the road and headed to Strathalbyn for the Angas Dirt Kart Club race day. We were thrilled to finish 🥇 1st Overall!

Preston made heaps of new friends, enjoyed some awesome racing, and can’t wait to catch up with everyone again.

We’ll definitely be back in South Australia for the Australian Titles, and we’re already counting down the days!
