Brand new carpet. Only water in my machine. Here you can see some white edges as I did not come past the water line with suction.
This is residue soap from manufacturing. It will cause rapid soiling , same as when people run shampoos through their machinery. Dirt sticks to the residue making it impossible to vacuum out.
Not saying you have to rinse new carpet but if you or members of your family have sensitivity to chemistry its a good plan. It also means some times you need to clean your new carpet withing the first 6 months.

A little fun today.
As a word of caution, if this carpet had not been solution dyed nylon much more agressive methods would have had to have been used .

The large pink/red spot had been treated with acetone before calling.
This causes the polish to become a dye.

Like I always say if you can not rinse out what your deliberatly putting into carpet , do not put it in. Even the most simple spotters can cause damage to fibres if left long enough !
