POSITION: HEAD DETAILER / TECHNICAL OPERATIONS LEAD
Location: Borrowdale West, Harare
Employment Type: Full-Time
DetailLab by Klintech is a premium automotive detailing studio specializing in paint correction, ceramic coatings, paint protection film (PPF), and luxury vehicle care. We are looking for an experienced, highly skilled, and detail-oriented Head Detailer to lead our technical operations and maintain world-class standards across all services.
This is not a basic car wash position. We are seeking a professional who is passionate about vehicle appearance, takes pride in their workmanship, and understands premium detailing processes from inspection to final delivery.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform single-stage and multi-stage paint correction services
• Apply ceramic coatings to manufacturer specifications
• Install Paint Protection Film (PPF)
• Conduct advanced interior and exterior detailing services
• Inspect vehicle paint conditions and recommend corrective solutions
• Operate and maintain professional detailing equipment
• Ensure quality control on all completed vehicles
• Train and mentor junior detailers
• Manage detailing chemicals, consumables, and equipment
• Assist management in developing service procedures and standards
• Provide exceptional customer service and technical advice
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum 3–5 years professional detailing experience
• Proven experience in paint correction and machine polishing
• Proven experience applying ceramic coatings
• Experience installing Paint Protection Film (PPF)
• Strong understanding of detailing chemicals and their applications
• Strong understanding of detailing equipment and polishing systems
• Ability to work independently and lead a team
• Clean and professional appearance
• Valid driver's licence is an added advantage
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Automotive detailing certifications
• Ceramic coating certifications
• PPF installation certifications
• Automotive refinishing background
• Experience working with luxury and high-end vehicles

• Surface preparation techniques
• Chemical safety and dilution ratios
