6 EASY TIPS TO DECLUTTER AND CLEAN YOUR OFFICE

1. Remove Everything

For a truly clean workspace, it’s best to start from scratch. Remove everything from the desktop, drawers and shelves. Then, place them in neat piles on the floor or in another room. Now that your desk is empty, take the time to wipe down all surfaces and clean off your computer equipment.

2. Assess Each Item

It may seem like a daunting task, but once you know what you have, it’s easier to determine what you really need. You may be surprised to find how many extra pens, folders, sticky notes and other supplies you’ve had this whole time!

While going through your office items, create three piles: keep, archive and junk. The items in the “keep” pile should include things you’ll need for daily and weekly work. The “archive” pile should include important documents and information that must be kept but doesn’t need to be in direct eyesight every day. You can even split this group into two sub-groups: one for yearly storage and another for long-term storage. Finally, the “junk” pile should include items you can throw away or donate.

3. Consider Rearranging Your Space

If your office space regularly gets cluttered soon after clean-up, analyze your layout. Items that you use every day should be kept close to you for easy access. Items that don’t get used often can be stored in drawers or shelves to keep your desk space clutter-free.

4. Use Dividers And Shelves Wisely

If you’re prone to throwing items in drawers and letting them stay scattered and disheveled, dividers can help. Hanging shelves can organize binders, manuals, reference materials and other paperwork, while drawer dividers keep small office items separated, organized and easy to locate.

5. Start Putting Your Items In Their Respective Places

Now that you know which items you want to keep and how close in proximity they should be, put your items in their organized spaces. Try to keep your desk space as neat and clear as possible to help the entire office look clutter-free.

6. Clean Daily

Once your office is decluttered, keep it that way. After using your desk each day, put items back in their designated spots. Put pens in holders, file papers and return binders to bookshelves. Then, wipe down your desk with a disinfectant wipe to help keep germs at bay. By tidying up every day, you can help keep your space organized for longer.

With these tips in mind, you’re well on your way to keeping your space clutter-free and productive. To help keep the entire facility organized and promote better productivity, hire a professional janitorial cleaning service like us. Bathroom 🛀 Cleaning 🧹 Tips You Wish You Knew Earlier

Clean your bathroom with vodka

Got an unloved bottle of vodka left over from a gathering? If you don’t fancy making cocktails, you can always use it to get your porcelain fixtures shining! Dab some onto a soft cloth and give them a rub.

Clean your bath with a grapefruit🍊

Get rid of water marks or stains in your bathtub by cutting a grapefruit in half, sprinkling on some rock salt and giving it a good scrub. Have the other half for a nutritious breakfast!

Clean limescale from your shower head using vinegar

We love it when we can make kitchen cupboard ingredients into a germ-busting cleaning product. If you're looking for a more natural (not to mention thrifty) way to clean your home from top to bottom, vinegar is your new best friend. Soak your shower head in a mixture of boiling water and vinegar to unclog any limescale easily.

Use an old toothbrush 🪥 for cleaning your bathroom 🚽

Don’t throw away your old toothbrush 🪥 – it can be a really useful tool. Give it a rinse in boiling water to get rid of any germs, and use it to get into nooks and crannys that your vacuum cleaner can't reach. It’s especially handy in the bathroom, for cleaning hard to reach areas around the tap or drain.

Clean your toilet 🚽 stains with Coke

And that's not all that this humble soft drink can offer in terms of cleaning. Get a grubby loo back to sparkling white by pouring in a can of cola. Let it sit in the bowl overnight, give it a quick scrub with a brush and then flush the next morning for a great effect.

Unblock a clogged drain for free with baking soda

Bicarbonate of soda to the rescue yet again! This time it's a marvel for unblocking hair or food-clogged drains. Pour one part baking soda, followed by one part vinegar down it, then cover with a wet cloth as the two react with one another to clean the drain naturally. Wait five minutes and then run some hot water to clear it.

Wine Stain Removal From Upholstery

“It removes even the hardest stains” – this is the widely spread opinion. The practice of Cleaning Frenzy in upholstery service says something else. It appears that it is not as complicate as we think. Just powder the stain with some salt and let it soak. When the upholstery is dry, you can beat the salt out of the furniture or you can clean it with a vacuum cleaner.

If you have stains of blood on the upholstery, you should clean it before it gets dry. Take a cotton cloth and gently wet it with cold water. After that you should carefully swipe the stain and leave it to dry.

How to clean 🧽 your Bathroom in 10 Minutes

Step 1: Spray away. Spritz the sink, mirror, toilet and the floor around it with cleaner. Let it sit while you clear off the countertops so the cleaning solution can do the hard work for you. Then, spray the counters.

Step 2: Now Wipe. Work from the cleanest surface (mirror) to the dirtiest (sink) using a paper towel or microfiber cloth that easily reaches into nooks and crannies. Pay special attention to the grime and hard water deposits that collect around the drain, faucet and sink handles, which can detract from a sparkling bathroom.

Step 3: Tackle the toilet. Brush inside the bowl first, then clean the tank, seat, base and floor with disposable wipes that you can trash on the spot. (Don't forget to take the garbage out with you.)

Step 4: Hit the lights. The switch plate is one of the most often handled areas of your home and the last thing your guests will see when they leave the bathroom. Remove any muck with one quick swipe before you walk out the door.

THE BEST WAY TO CLEAN A COUCH

Couches help bring comfort and style to living rooms, but they receive more wear and tear than you think. From eating dinner in the family room or watching a movie with Fido snuggled up against you – the couch can capture body oils, cooking odors and airborne dust and dirt.

For upholstered furniture, learning how to deep clean a couch may seem like an impossible challenge. Luckily, we have some tips and tricks to make couch cleaning a breeze.

Deciphering Couch Codes Before Cleaning

Before you begin cleaning your couch, it is important to know what type of fabric is used in the upholstery and what the codes mean before you begin cleaning.

Codes generally used on tags include:

W – This indicates water can be used in cleaning
WS – A dry cleaning detergent or mild detergent and steam vacuum can be used
X – No water, vacuum only
S – Clean with dry cleaner detergent
How to Clean a Couch

Regular couch cleaning and maintenance should be done weekly to prevent the long-term impact of spills or damage from regular wear and tear.

Follow these three simple maintenance tips to help extend the longevity of your couch:

Dry brush – use a dry brush to loosen up any pieces of fabric, dirt or debris.
Vacuum – on a low setting, use your vacuum to remove the items you were able to shake free with your dry brush along with items that have been deeply embedded into your couch.
Switch cushions – flip the cushions around to lessen the appearance of being worn down.
How to Deep Clean a Couch

Sometimes regular maintenance can’t take care of deeply embedded dirt and stains. To properly deep clean a couch, you will need cleaning cloths, a stiff brush, baking soda and a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment.

Follow these steps to learn how to clean a couch with baking soda:

Test your fabric – Baking soda is great for a lot of things, including the removal of grime and embedded dirt in your couch. Test the fabric first in an inconspicuous area, but baking soda is safe for most types of upholstery.
Brush the couch – Use the stiff brush to brush away crumbs, dust, and other debris.
Apply baking soda – Sprinkle the couch with baking soda and let it sit for 20 to 30 minutes. You may want to consider mixing the baking soda in dry carpet cleaner for an even deeper clean.
Vacuum the baking soda – Use the brush attachment on your vacuum to thoroughly remove the baking soda or mixture.
Remove embedded stains – For any tough stains that are still present, you can use a solution that will work for the type of fabric along with a clean cloth for blotting away stains. For instance, fabric upholstery can be cleaned using a mixture of:
3/4 cup warm water
1/4 cup vinegar
1 tablespoon of dish soap.
For synthetic upholstery, use a mixture of one cup warm water, 1/2 cup vinegar and 1/2 tablespoon of dish soap.
Apply the mixture – Combine ingredients in a spray bottle and spray onto the stains.
How to Shampoo A Couch

If you are searching for an even deeper clean, consider renting a steam or carpet cleaner to shampoo your couch. Steam cleaners can be used on a wide range of upholstery, except for suede. Follow these steps to learn how to shampoo a couch:

Vacuum the couch with your brush upholstery attachment and all sides of the cushions to remove any embedded dirt or stains.
Fill the selected cleaning machine with water and a cleaning solution or detergent that works best for your fabric type.
Begin cleaning the couch. Be sure to pull the brush back in an even and straight movement going with the grain of your couch material if applicable.
Once the cushions are completely dry, place them back on the couch.
How to Clean Couch Cushions

If you can remove cushion covers and the tag indicates they are machine washable, this is the easiest way to clean couch cushions. Otherwise, you can loosen dirt and debris by beating the cushions outdoors on a sunny day. One benefit of doing this is the sun’s UV rays work to disinfect the fabric.

With the fun of summer comes the "fun" of summer cleaning. I’m talking outdoor tidying up for guests, scrubbing the mud off the kiddos’ clothes and all the mess that comes with being outside. Don’t let the cleaning blues keep you from enjoying the warm weather. We’ve got summer cleaning tips and tricks that will make this sunny season even more enjoyable.

Here Are Some Summer Cleaning Tips for you

The primary culprits in your home are dust, tracked-in dirt, and clutter. Try this simple summer cleaning method:

- Clockwise cleaning. Move clockwise around each room, putting away clutter and mislaid items. Stash any stuff that doesn't belong in the room outside the door to sort and put away later.
- Dedicated dusting. Dust shelves, windowsills, mini-blinds, lamps, tables, bureaus, and TV/computer screens with a clean, damp cloth. (Dusting with a dry cloth can eventually scratch or dull the finish.) Rinse the rag regularly.
- Mirror magic. Make your mirrors and windows shine using a vinegar-and-water glass cleaner solution and a squeegee.
- Wipe down woods. For shiny hardwood surfaces, you don't need fancy or expensive cleaners. They often leave a residue that will attract even more dust. Instead, use soft cotton or terry cloth, or a 100 percent cotton diaper. Lightly moisten the cloth with water and gently buff the surface along the grain to remove spills and fingerprints.
