God often begins His greatest work in the darkest seasons of our lives. Not when we are strong, confident and thriving but when we are broken, grieving, depressed and wondering how we will make it through another day.
There was a time when my dear friend Stella would ask me what I wanted to do with my life and my answer was always the same: “I just want to cry.” I was carrying so much pain that I could not see beyond it.
One day, Stella locked me in her car for more than an hour and refused to let me go home until I told her what I wanted to do with my life. She looked me straight in the eye and said, “Your children won’t eat your tears.” Those words changed something in me. She fought for me when I had stopped fighting for myself. She pulled me out of a very dark place and reminded me that there was still purpose ahead of me.
Today, when I look at what God has done through L'Austin Cleaning Services, I know it was not by my strength alone. God carried me and Stella stood beside me when I needed someone the most.
Watching her win is one of my greatest joys. Seeing her receive this recognition feels personal because I know the heart, sacrifice and determination behind it.
