This is one of the videos I took yesterday when I met this mother and her two young children in Lusaka town. Seeing their condition personally is what touched my heart and made me stop to find out what they were going through.
I am sharing this not to expose or embarrass anyone, but in the hope that kind-hearted people may come together and help. The children need food, proper clothing and other basic support, and the family may also need help with safe transport.
If the mother contacts me again, I will confirm her whereabouts so that any assistance can be provided responsibly.
🙏🏽❤️ Please share. Together, we may be able to give these children hope.

A CALL FOR HELP: A MOTHER AND HER TWO YOUNG CHILDREN NEED OUR SUPPORT 🙏🏽❤️
Yesterday, while I was in town in Lusaka buying a few things, I experienced something that truly touched my heart and has stayed on my mind.
As I was walking, a little boy, approximately 4 to 5 years old, ran towards me and said:
“Uncle, I'm asking for anything. I'm asking for a coin.”
Those simple words made me stop.
I started asking questions and eventually found his mother sitting nearby with him and his younger sibling. I spent about seven minutes talking to her, trying to understand what had happened to them.
She explained that she had travelled from Eastern Province to Lusaka after arrangements were made for her to come here. However, after arriving in Lusaka, the person she expected to communicate with stopped answering her calls.
According to her, she and her two young children have been stranded and sleeping around the bus station.
She told me that the children had not eaten anything since morning.
What touched me even more was seeing their condition with my own eyes.
The little boy who approached me did not have proper shoes or socks, and his clothing did not seem sufficient to protect him from the cold weather. When I looked closely at his face, I noticed sores that appeared to be caused by mosquito bites. The other child also had similar sores.
Seeing these innocent children in such a condition made me feel that they genuinely needed help.
What broke my heart the most was when the children started struggling over one drink. The younger child began crying because he also wanted the same drink.
At that moment, I realised that something as simple as a drink meant so much to them.
I immediately decided to buy two drinks so that each child could have their own, together with some fried sweet potatoes. Before I left, I also gave their mother someth that she could buy food for them later in the evening.
I am not sharing this story to praise myself. I am sharing it because I believe tha

Lord 😭 I keep thinking about how things can change in a blink of an eye, this woman started her day like everyone else hoping that everything would go in her favor until this §tupid boy decided to accuse her of something she didn't do, now six children have been left motherless and a man left without a wife all because someone saw it wise to do what he did and later tried to play hero as soon as he realized how grave his mistake was.
I feel so disturbed, how do you kill a fellow human like you are killing a dangerous animal? what happened to Ubuntu? didn't you at any point feel some sort of pain after seeing your fellow human being in so much pain? what was so funny that you could laugh at the sight of a helpless woman? what pleasure did you find in un******ng a mother? may everyone involved in this death be punished to a point where they will beg for death... no one deserves to go through such pain 😭

Golden Age of Eclipses Is About to Begin!

Feb 17 — Annular Solar Eclipse (Ring of fire over Antarctica/Southern Ocean, extremely remote)
Mar 3 — Total Lunar Eclipse (Blood Moon, last one until Dec 2028, best from Pacific/Asia/western North America)
Aug 12 — Total Solar Eclipse (First for mainland Europe since 1999, path crosses Iceland and northern Spain)
Aug 28 — Partial Lunar Eclipse (93% deep, almost total, great from the Americas)

Mark your calendars! ✨

🔥 On February 17, an annular solar eclipse will sweep across one of the most remote places on the planet: Antarctica. The Moon will slide in front of the Sun, covering 96% of its face, but because it's slightly too far from Earth to block the Sun completely, a blazing ring of light will glow around its edges for about 2 minutes and 20 seconds.

The full "ring of fire" will only be visible from a narrow path across western Antarctica. But if you're in southern South Africa, Mozambique, Madagascar, or the very southern tips of Chile and Argentina, you'll catch a partial eclipse where the Sun will appear as if something took a bite out of it 🌘

For most of the world, livestreams will be the best way to witness this event. This eclipse also opens a remarkable chapter in astronomy: it's the first in a series of six solar eclipses (three annular and three total) happening over the next three years.

Don't forget: never look at the Sun during an annular or partial eclipse without certified solar eclipse glasses ☀️🕶️

Chapter one continues
Small Hands, Heavy Days

Eli shook his head gently, the way he did every time. “Later,” he said. He always said later.
After helping her drink, after settling Noah with a cracked wooden toy, Eli stepped outside. The sun was climbing now, bright and unforgiving. He hesitated at the doorway, guilt tugging at him for even a moment away.
But there was no food left.
Some days, Eli found small work—carrying water, sweeping yards, running errands for neighbors. Other days, there was nothing. On those days, he swallowed his pride and asked.
He hated the asking.
Standing near the roadside, eyes lowered, voice quiet. Asking for a little maize. A handful of rice. Anything soft enough for his mother, enough to keep a toddler fed. Some people turned away. Some sighed. A few pressed food into his hands without meeting his eyes.
Eli thanked them all the same.
By the time he returned home, sweat streaked his face and dust clung to his legs. Noah ran to him, laughing, arms open wide. His mother watched from the mat, love and worry tangled in her gaze.
Eli dropped to his knees between them, setting the food down like treasure.
The house was still standing.
They were still together.

Chapter One
Small Hands, Heavy Days
Eli was twelve years old, but childhood had loosened its grip on him a long time ago.
In the early mornings, before the heat rose from the red earth and before the village fully woke, Eli was already on his feet. The rooster’s cry usually found him awake, sitting on the edge of the thin mattress, listening to his mother’s breathing from across the room. Some days it was steady. Other days it sounded like work.
Those were the days he moved faster.
Their home was small—mud walls smoothed by hand, a tin roof that rattled when the wind passed through. Everything they owned fit inside it, and everything they loved fit inside it too. There was no father anymore, no older relatives close enough to help. Just Eli, his mother, and his little brother.
School used to start at this hour.
Eli used to walk with other children, a book tucked under his arm, dust clinging to his sandals. But that was before his mother became sick—before standing became difficult, before cooking and washing and even lifting a child became too much for her body.
Now, Eli stayed home.
He knelt by the small charcoal stove, blowing gently until the coals glowed. He boiled water and crushed ginger with the back of a spoon, careful not to waste any. His mother could barely keep food down most days, but warm tea helped her breathe easier.
In the corner, Noah stirred.
Noah was two years and eight months old, all soft curls and unsteady feet. He woke calling for Eli more often than not, small hands reaching for the only constant he knew.
“I’m here,” Eli whispered, lifting him. “I’m here.”
Noah pressed his face into Eli’s shoulder, already trusting the day to be handled for him.
Their mother lay on a mat near the wall, her body thinner than it should have been, her eyes too large in her face. She smiled when she saw them, though it cost her something.
“You should be in school,” she murmured, like she always did.
Eli shook his head gently, the way he did every time. “Later,”

Tears of joy after meeting his father who has been in prison for seven years. Dad left the boy when he was 3 years old. His mother died while giving birth so he has never seen his biological mother and since he was a little boy, he couldn’t remember about the father but we are so glad that they have finally met after 7 years.
