WASH YOUR HANDS; PREVENT CHOLERA
Cholera is a bacterial disease that causes severe diarrhoea and dehydration and is usually spread in water and food that is infected.
Cholera is fatal if not treated right away, but can be prevented by doing the following;
Wash your hands;
✓Before, during, and after preparing food.
✓Before and after eating food or feeding your children.
✓After using the toilet.
✓After cleaning your child’s bottom.
✓After taking care of someone who is sick with diarrhea.
✓Before and after a session of handshakes. (If possible, avoid handshakes by all means)
If you don’t have access to soap and water, use an alcohol-based hand rub with at least 60% alcohol—hand sanitizer.
