South African born Rotarian and Business Leader Annemarie Mostert Invited to Join Regenesys Business School Curriculum Advisory Board
Johannesburg, South Africa, 28 May 2026
Respected Johannesburg businesswoman and Rotarian, Annemarie Mostert, has been invited to serve on the Curriculum Advisory Board for the Business School at Regenesys Education, an international business school headquartered in Sandton, Johannesburg, with a growing footprint across Africa.
The invitation recognises Mostert’s extensive leadership experience across business, strategic development, international networking, research, and community impact initiatives. Through her involvement in both the corporate and humanitarian sectors, she has become widely respected for her ability to build meaningful partnerships and champion sustainable development across Africa and beyond. Mostert recently completed her dissertation successfully, achieving 85%. Her research focused on financial intelligence and financial wellbeing among employees in the cleaning industry, where many workers continue to earn minimum wage rather than a living wage. Her work explored how financial literacy, access to markets, access to finance and strategic partnerships can help employees better understand their role within a broader business ecosystem and unlock pathways to improved economic participation.
Speaking during the advisory board engagement, Mostert said her industry experience had shown the importance of helping workers understand business from beginning to end, particularly in sectors where operational expertise is strong but financial literacy remains limited. She noted that research of this nature could contribute towards policy influence and practical solutions for what is often described as South Africa’s “working poor”.
Regenesys describes itself as an international business school with more than 300,000 students and alumni from 190 countries. This gives the advisory board broader relevance in shaping business education for an increasingly connected African and global marketplace. The inclusion of industry leaders also supports Regenesys’ broader ambition to strengthen research, thought leadership and industry collaboration as it continues positioning itself as a global player in business education. According to Regenesys Education, the newly established Curriculum Advisory Board aims to bring together distinguished industry leaders, academics, and professionals to provide strategic guidance that ensures business programmes remain relevant, innovative, and aligned with current and future industry needs.
The advisory board will focus on strengthening collaboration between academia and industry, enhancing graduate employability, supporting curriculum development, encouraging research-led insight, and identifying future skills and competencies required in an evolving global business environment. Mostert also highlighted the importance of strategic partnerships, noting that she is taking on a global Rotary International role focused on country-to-country partnerships with business professionals. She expressed her willingness to contribute from her position of strength by drawing on her global networks and relationships with institutions and individuals to support Regenesys’ broader objectives.
The official launch and inaugural meeting of the Advisory Board took place today, on Thursday, 28 May 2026, at the Regenesys Campus in Sandton, with both in-person and virtual participation options available.
Speaking about the appointment, Mostert said the opportunity to contribute towards shaping future business leaders was both meaningful and aligned with her passion for leadership development, research, ethical business growth and social impact.
“Business education plays a critical role in shaping the future of Africa’s economy and leadership landscape. I believe strong collaboration between academia, industry and research is essential in preparing graduates who are adaptable, innovative, financially aware and socially conscious,” said Mostert.
Regenesys Education highlighted that advisory board members will participate in semi-annual strategic discussions focused on programme development, curriculum enhancement, industry collaboration, research, and student success.
Mostert’s appointment further reflects the growing importance of industry-led collaboration in higher education and the value of experienced business leaders contributing to the development of future-ready graduates in an increasingly interconnected African and global economy.
