I had cried so many tears over loves that didn’t work out, had my heart broken countless times and it just seemed so unfair why everyone else could have love, yet it eluded me.
I grew apart from once close friends and lost touch with others along the way.
Life seemed unjust in the way it works out for some and not for others..
Or so I thought.
That’s when I realized that I was exactly where I was supposed to be all along.
I may not have gotten everything I had wanted but I always seemed to get what I needed.
It hurts so badly when a relationship doesn’t work out, but later, I always understood why it didn’t, because it was for the best..
For them, for me and it kept me pushing forward to where I was supposed to be.
All the things I thought “weren’t working out for me” were, in fact, helping me to become the person I needed to be.
I needed the broken hearts to understand real love.
I needed to lose friends to appreciate the ones close to my heart.
I needed to struggle to enjoy my victories.
I wasn’t always given what I wanted, but I always got what I needed.
There’s been so many days that I wanted to quit and other times when I thought I could conquer the world.
That’s the beauty of this life we are given- to appreciate the ups and downs, to understand what is important, and most of all, to value the things that matter most.
So, while I still have bad days and people still sometimes vanish from my life, I know it’s for a greater good..to help me learn, evolve and grow as a person.
Change can be painful, but it’s even worse to stay in a place not meant for you.
I may not always know why, but I know I’ll end up where I’m meant to be.
True love will find me when it’s time, and in the meantime, I’ll keep on loving me the best I know how:.
And if it never does, then I’ll be happier than ever before by true to myself and my happiness..
What’s meant to be will always find a way, in whichever way is meant for me.
So, I’ll keep moving forward with my warrior spirit,
Each and every day, in every day, with everything I’ve got.
So, while I may not have all the answers or know what tomorrow will bring, I’m happy living each day to its fullest-
For all it’s beautiful moments, the tragedies and triumphs..
And the love I feel in my heart, each and every day.
For me, having a full heart and a content soul will always be more than enough to make me happy..
On my way to becoming the person I’m meant to be.
