In 2014 we attended Michael Komape’s funeral and met the family,they were in mourning of their departed child.We installed a fully flushing toilet without sewer network.The mother was so happy because she said she can no longer use the pit latrines,”My child when I have to go into the pit toilet,it’s like I’m feeling the pain that my son was in during the time he fell into that pit.You have no idea what relief you brought to me because I had to wait to be dark and go to the garden and relieve myself.The trauma is unbearable”
Mr Komape called us and said he was extending the house and would love to have two flushing toilets in the house.We installed the two toilets in honour of Mrs Komape as we celebrate women’s month,in our endeavour to contribute to the total eradication of pit toilets in schools and households.

This is the school where the young Michael Komape fell into a pit latrine in Chebeng village Limpopo.When we heard the tragic news,we were in Cape Town.We had just completed two samples of fully flushing toilets without sewer network,one in Khayelitsha and another one in Gugulethu.We felt the need to help,so we went to Limpopo and donated one toilet in 2014
