ACTOM Air Pollution Control's core business is the design, manufacture and installation of air pollution control equipment, dust control equipment, gas cleaning systems and product collection. We have designed and installed air pollution control equipment in Southern Africa for over 45 years.

The name ACTOM Air Pollution Control came about as a result of the re-branding program of ACTOM (formerly Alstom) in order to better identify our activities. We offer a well established range of equipment with over 21,000 local installations covering a wide range of industries. The origins of ACTOM Air Pollution Control can be traced back to the 1960’s and 1970’s when equipment was being supplied into the South African market via Mikropul and Air Cleaning Equipment activities. In 1995 a local subsidiary was established in South Africa to market the MikroPul products. In 2000 we acquired Air Cleaning Equipment in order to extend our product range to include standard products. ACTOM (Pty) Ltd is the largest manufacturer, repairer and distributer of electro-mechanical equipment and provider of turnkey solutions in Southern Africa. ACTOM holds numerous technology, distribution and value added reseller agreements with various partners, both locally and internationally. ACTOM Air Pollution Control (APC) designs, supplies and installs process control systems for gas cleaning, product recovery, air pollution control and dust control in the industrial and mining environment. Supported products include baghouses, bag filters, cyclones, wet scrubbers and collectors.
