Bittersweet moment...... JackOfTrades wil be no more. We had a good run and I loved every minute of it but I was offered a chance to make a lifelong dream come true for me and my family and graciously accepted. Therefore I can no longer be of service. Thank you for all my loyal customers. I wouldn't have gotten this far without you.

Did a bit off this on Friday. Was slightly windy but made a call and pushed to fit both. Good thing cause look at this southeaster go today!
Did the wiring today and connected the panels in serie to get the desired voltage for the ups.
Galvanized 38x38 sq tubing bolted through the tiles into the trusses with custom coach/threadrod bolts sealed at the tile with closed cell foam secured by a fender washer and nut and panels fitted to that.

Trying to find out what engine that is and find spares is quite tricky. The engine number doesn't say much but persistence paid off and this specific engine is a male called Ricardo. I had the number, the type and model but no-one seemed to recognize it. Uncle Google mentioned that it might be a Ricardo. That name rang everyone's bell suddenly.
Not WeiFang or all the other names it's given.
Moving along....
Pic 2- Some sharlaton who worked on it previously broke the one blade off the radiator fan. It really doesn't take alot of common sense to figure out that the fan would be out of balance.
Difficult to comprehend but that little vibration will cause metal fatigue in the end and, as shown in pic 3, a hardened waterpump shaft would just snap off. Mistakes do happen, but hiding it makes it worse in the end.
Oh and antifreeze(like sunscreen) Use it. It lubricates your waterpump and prohibits rust in your engine.

This is your reminder to unplug your electrical appliances during loadshed. Voltage spikes and or transients can kill or scramble its control panel. I can half the time fix it but it's most probably not economical. If you are insured for spikes you will need a damage report which I can help you with. Hopefully it doesn't get to that. Stay safe.

Made and fit these rails and gate. Measured 50 times and cut once. But on the day it fitted like a glove. Don't know why I was nervous because my stuff always have a perfect fit. Very happy client once again!

So the pump seal leaks onto the motor bearing and make it whine like someones ex wife. I removed the pump unit but all my spare pumps are different. To make it worse the pump part is a sealed unit with the seal fitted from the inside before it's welded together. But.... yes there's a but..... yours truly like to show those who thought they were clever, that that doesn't stop me to help my clients and be affordable.
Got the seals out with some effort, got new ones and you have an uncle Bob. Recon a pump that's not reconditionable and gave an old dishwasher a longer life. Too much new-part-fitters these days but I'm old school where we fix stuff. Better for the environment right?!

Please people, unplug your appliances during loadshedding and plug it back in after power is on. Or invest in surge protectors. I get so many appliances that get damaged by surges. If you have an appliance older than 5 years chances are you won't get parts for it. Sad reality. Like the pics below, the control board died via Eksdom and discontinued. Sometimes I can retrofit other parts but not always(and not electronic parts)
Prevention rather than despair.
