Our bin cleaning service started off in Oct 2004 as VIP Bin Cleaning and changed the name to Select Bin Cleaning in 2010. That means that in Oct 2024 we celebrated 20 years in this industry. Still striving to give our customers the best possible service.

Please note that our service for Jan 2024 to Dec 2025 is as follows:
1 bin washed every 2nd week = R100 per month
2 bins washed every 2nd week = R150 per month
3 bins washed every 2nd week = R200 per month
4 bins washed every 2nd week = R250 per month
Once off wash for normal or recycle bins = R70

2 bins washed every 2nd week = R140 per month
3 bins washed every 2nd week = R180 per month
4 bins washed every 2nd week = R220 per month

Select Bin Cleaning is grateful to announce that we just secured the contract to wash the 80 bins at Curro Durbanville on a regular basis.

Select Bin Cleaning has secured the contract to clean & disinfect all the wheely bins at UCT. The almost 600 bins will be washed over 4 Saturdays, once every 4 months.

After signing up Uitzicht Spar this week, Select Bin Cleaning has now officially passed the 2000 bin mark. Thank you to our Heavenly Father for all his blessings. Thank you also to all our loyal customers.

We have concluded our marketing for the summer on a healthy 1950 bins. Next summer we'll go past 2000 bins for sure. Now for a winter break...

Even though we had a price increase in Jan 2016, we have grown exceptionally in the last few months and have reached 1900 bins yesterday. All honour to our heavenly Father for blessing us.

Building a business

In 2004 the owner, Jeán Damant, started the business as a franchisee of VIP Bin Cleaning. The idea was to give a good service at an affordable price and to make money by having many customers rather than to make the service expensive. It took 9 months to reach 500 bins, 2 years to reach 1000 bins and 13 years to reach 2000 bins. After 5 years, he left the franchise and renamed the business Select Bin Cleaning.

When the 2100 bin mark was reached, it was time for a decision. To grow much more a second permanent team will have to be launched. The maximum bins to service by one team is about 2300. Currently we have a second bakkie and Mobile Cleaning Unit (MCU), used as back-up and for promotions. If a second team is launched a third set of bakkie and MCU will have to be acquired and that will cause some logistic problems. So, for now, the decision is to maintain the numbers and not grow beyond 2300.
