What is Dip a Dog & What do we do?

Majority of the franchisers will operate along a certain guideline, but may differ from each other.

In our instance:

- We come to your house with our own warm water

- Brush / rake the dogs (exfoliation)

- Wash them in a special tick and flea shampoo that also conditions their hair

- Then finally we mix our formulated tick and flea dip for each individual dog, and pour it over them.

The tick and flea dip lasts a month, and works best when done on regularly.
This is the basics of Dip a Dog.

More than mere inconvenience, fleas and ticks can negatively impact your dog’s well-being. A trip to the bushes can necessitate a trip to the vet.

Dogs often carry loose ticks right through the front door without their victims taking a single step into the high grass.

Both fleas and ticks harbor diseases and can cause plenty of health issues. These parasites can also spread; a single infected tick can pass diseases on to other animals as well as humans.
In South Africa this can lead to:

- Tick Bite Fever
- Lyme Disease
- Biliary fever
- Canine Parvovirus Infection

This is the importance of looking after your dog, by having them regular visited by your local Dip-a-Dog, to brush, wash, and dip.
This will go a long way into making your dog a happy, healthy and friendly one.
