The water shortage in Cape Town has now reached critical levels and the President Hotel has invested in permanent eco-friendly practices focusing on conserving guest’s water usage.

Some of the water saving initiatives implemented include: installation of 725 basin sink mixer water restrictors, 367 shower head restrictors and a grey water system has been put in place to capture the air-conditioners outlet water for gardening and cleaning. We have also partnered with our laundry provider to recycle all the water from the final rinse phase to use for the following 1st wash cycle to add to further savings.

Owing to the water restrictions, the car guards at an office park in Pinelands weren't able to continue with their side earner of washing cars. We supplied some Water Less Car Wash kits, which the guys are now using and are back washing cars and earning some Rands- very cool.
