13 July - Day +17 since Diego's transplant and it feels like nothing is going as it should. Diego has constant fever spikes. His central line got infected so they removed it a few days ago. The following day he was still ok but then they attempted to insert another line yesterday which caused Diego a lot of pain, his blood pressure dropped and his fever shot over 40° again. An attempt to use the bathroom yesterday ended in some kind of febrile convulsions (I had to google that cos this is a state hospital so Dr's don't seem to have the time to explain what's going on). It gave the staff quite a scare, but God! All tests revealed that Diego is still fine, fever rigors and blood pressure drops aside.
Yesterday his white blood cell count was 0.2 but neutrophils still lacking. Didn't get any feedback on tests done this morning. I'm officially a boarder since yesterday to keep a constant eye on Diego. Progress is slow, engraftment doesn't seem to have started but I trust God and we take it one day at a time. We thank you for your prayers.
