๐Ÿ’ก Top tip: the biggest mistake people make is assuming a carpet is fine once it looks dry on top. Mould can start growing within 24 hours and hides deep in the pile.

If it happens to you, here's where to start:
โœ… Mop up excess water as soon as possible. Use a wet-and-dry vac if you have one.
โœ… Get the air moving: run fans, open windows, use a dehumidifier if possible.
โœ… Lift the wet underlay and discard it. It's cheaper than replacing the carpet.
โœ… Once itโ€™s dry, have the carpet professionally cleaned.
