What began as a small carpet cleaning venture built on nothing but determination, has now grown into a trusted Bloemfontein business, as Ello 4 Cleaning celebrates thirteen years of service while continuing to expand its offerings.
Founded by Elmarie Lodewyk Rourke, the company had rather humble beginnings. At the time, Rourke worked weekdays as a truck rental representative while cleaning carpets and homes on weekends, steadily building what would become a recognised cleaning service across the City of Roses and its surrounding areas.
Over the years, Ello 4 Cleaning has evolved into a comprehensive service provider, offering carpet, upholstery and mattress cleaning, deep home and office cleaning, move-in and move-out cleaning, along with property turnaround services for rental units.
As part of its continued growth, the business has also expanded into additional services including small handyman maintenance and pest control. This expansion has positioned Ello 4 Cleaning as a convenient one-stop solution for homeowners, property managers and rental agencies needing professional cleaning, maintenance and pest management services.
The pest control division works closely with landlords, property managers and homeowners to treat infestations quickly and prevent them from returning.
This integrated approach has proven especially valuable in rental turnovers, where a property needs to be both deeply cleaned and professionally treated before new tenants move in.
For Rourke, the expansion was a natural step. “Cleaning and pest control go hand in hand,” she explains. “You can’t truly say a home is clean if pests are still present. Our goal is to eliminate the problem and then restore the space to a standard our clients can trust."
Rourke also attributes the company’s success to persistence, faith and the support of her team, family and loyal clients. As Ello 4 Cleaning marks this 13-year milestone, the focus remains on building on that foundation while continuing to serve the Bloemfontein community with reliable and professional services.
