Is your commercial kitchen getting steamy?

POSSIBLE REASONS FOR CONDENSATION:
When hot air from your kitchen comes into touch with a cool stainless steel hood vent. This problem arises when chilly air leaks through your wall or ceiling cap and enters your flue.
Precipitation typically occurs in frigid conditions and is particularly noticeable in colder places.
If water is gathering, condensation is most likely not the cause. However, some condensation is possible.
If you're steaming or boiling a lot of vegetables, the moisture inside your exhaust canopy shaft may precipitate (or turn into a liquid).
One of the most common reasons people find condensation dripping from their range hoods is that their dampers are broken, missing, or incorrectly installed. A damper is a plate with flaps that regulates the flow of air—preventing outside air from entering the duct but still allowing the duct to exhaust.
A commercial dishwasher could also be the reason for condensation. The hot water that cleans your dishes, coupled with the always-running booster heaters, means that stream is constantly being released into the air of your commercial kitchen.
The type of ducting used could also be a contributing factor to condensation. One of the major disadvantages of flex duct is the risk of condensation.
