SUMMER RAIN + HIGH HUMIDITY = PERFECT CONDITIONS FOR MOLD
Heavy summer rain doesn’t always cause an obvious flood. Sometimes the bigger problem is the moisture you don’t see.
During the summer, high humidity combined with repeated rain can allow moisture to become trapped inside basements, behind drywall, underneath flooring, around windows, and in other areas of your home. A small roof leak, foundation seepage, plumbing leak, or damp basement can create the conditions mold needs to begin growing.
And once mold starts, the problem can spread beyond the area where the moisture originally entered.
At Prime Mold Removal, we regularly find mold in places homeowners didn’t realize were wet until they noticed a musty smell, discoloration, damaged drywall, or other warning signs.
⚠️ SIGNS YOU MAY HAVE A MOLD OR MOISTURE PROBLEM:
• Musty or earthy odors • Black, green, brown, or unusual spots on walls or ceilings • Water stains or discoloration • Peeling or bubbling paint • Damp drywall or insulation • Basement walls or floors that stay wet after rain • Recent flooding or water damage • Condensation or excessive indoor humidity
Even if you don't see visible mold, a persistent musty smell after heavy rain can be an indication that moisture is trapped somewhere inside the building
