3 steps to replacing a broken curb stop valve.

1-freeze the line

2-cut out the old broken valve

3-install new shiny valve

* keep fingers crossed hoping everything goes as planned, if not you’re about to get wet and have to complete steps 2 & 3 with water gushing out of the pipe, hold on tight and enjoy the adrenaline rush.

Are there any parts of your job that create an adrenaline spike?

Replaced another 3/4” curb stop valve live. Tried freezing this one but the freeze kit wasn’t working. At least it was hot so I didn’t mind getting a little wet. Same thing tomorrow maybe the freeze kit will work this time.

A day at Colorado state capital building. First time I have been in this building, a lot of really cool ornate features. Remodeling the senate chambers.

Back at it tomorrow, starting the day off at the capital building 🏛, then back to Lakewood to start backfilling the pool that has now passed all inspections💧

Tomorrow will be an extra hard Monday since it’s the Monday after a vacation. Here are a few pics from our trip to Cancun last week!

Future GB fish & chips 🇬🇧

All ready for the grease trap to be set in place.

There wasn’t much room to work plus we hit shale that was extremely hard and made it quite difficult to get a flat spot prepped, but we made it happen with the help of jackhammers and a lot of hand work.

I’m excited to eat here once it is open.

Not my typical type of work, but it was pretty cool to see this pool fly over a 2 story house! All the grading and prep work came together as this beast of a pool was set into place.

The pool is about 40’X16’

Winslow Crane did a great job, making it look easy.
