Do mice come inside in the fall? Simple answer is YES!
In the fall, mice tend to begin to stay indoors, so they are more noticed. The population of mice will peak during the late summer and early fall as conditions are favorable. Once the temperatures begin to drop, the activity of mice in the home will pick up. Your home provides the necessary food, shelter, and water that mice need to survive
What can you do to keep this from happening?
Look for signs of entry in to your home. Weather strip guard on entry or garage doors that may look worn can be a potential entry point - A mouse can get through a small, 6-7 mm hole (about the diameter of a normal-sized pen) and can flatten themselves to squeeze through one-fourth of an inch or larger spaces. You can use a spray foam to seal those entry points and also replace worn guard stripping.
Depending on the size of the home, Pest-A-Cator offers several size units based on square footage. You may only need one plug-in unit or if your home is larger in square footage you may need several.
