How often you should REALLY clean these 5 things in your home 👇
These often get overlooked, or cleaned way less often than they should be.
1. Vacuum (filter + brush roll)
👉 About every 2–4 weeks
If you skip this, your vacuum starts pushing dust back out instead of picking it up.
2. Pillows (not the cases—the actual pillows)
👉 Every 3–6 months
They collect sweat, oils, and dust way faster than you’d expect. If yours feel a little “off,” this is usually why.
3. Kitchen sponge
👉 Every 1–2 weeks (sooner if it smells)
This is one of the easiest things to forget… and also one of the quickest to grow bacteria.
4. Baseboards
👉 Every 1–2 months
You don’t notice them day to day, but when they’re dusty, the whole room feels less clean; even if everything else is spotless.
5. Bathroom exhaust fan
👉 Every 3–6 months
When this gets clogged with dust, bathrooms hold onto moisture longer than they should. That’s where you start running into that damp feeling.
