House cleaning is a luxury service, not a necessity.
If a professional cleaner charges $250 and finishes the job in 3 hours, you didn’t get “ripped off.” You paid $250 for the job to be completed properly…. not for someone to purposely drag it out for 6-8 hours just so you feel like you got your money’s worth.
And no, every 3-4 bedroom house should NOT cost the same.
One 3-4 bedroom home might take 3.5 hours.
Another might take 8.
I price based on the work, condition of the home, expectations, and what actually needs to be done.. not just how many bedrooms you have.
Your cleaner also shouldn’t have to lower their prices because, “Well, I could just do it myself.”
You absolutely can. 😂 thank you
That’s kind of the whole point of hiring a service… you’re paying someone else for their time, experience, supplies, equipment, overhead, and the convenience of NOT having to do it yourself.
And while we’re here…
“I’m not comfortable paying the normal $180 because you finished in 2hrs today. It normally takes around 3-3.5 hours.”
Exactly!😩
The job didn’t magically become worth less because I worked efficiently.
You’re paying for the clean… not for me to stand around and make the clock look better.
Professional cleaning is a skilled service, a convenience, and a luxury. Good cleaners become FASTER because of experience, systems, and knowing exactly what they’re doing.
