The pool in the pictures had a leaking "Black Bottom" skimmer. They are notorious for leaking. The pool had been leaking for several years causing a channel of pool water under the deep end of the pool, which in turn caused the pool to settle and eventually crack in half!
If your pool loses more than 1" to 1.5" per week, get it checked out!
