it's funny how when people want to have a roof put on or some re modeling performed. They want to know what materials and other important questions prior to asking the cost .When calling a carpet cleaning company, the first question is how much they charge. Price is one important factor in considering the hiring process.
Anyone can start a carpet cleaning company, Just purchase some equipment and some cleaning supplies and your all set. This is far from the truth. Carpet cleaning requires a certain degree of knowledge. Carpet cleaning solutions have different P.H. levels Using too high of a P.H. can damage natural fibers. This type of material and the fact that it is a knit type carpet requires special cleaning treatment. Olefin carpet is a good carpet, it does have some drawbacks. Olefin is hydro phobic which means it hates water. Olefin therefore tries to push water and liquids off the surface. So where does the liquids go, It goes through the holes created by the knitting process .If a large spill occurs on this type of carpet, The spill will not come out with normal cleaning the stain will wick back up to the surface. A special tool is required to remove these stains , not only from berber carpets but from any carpet that a spill has penetrated the surface. This tool is called a sub surface cleaner. It is specially designed to remove all stains that have penetrated the surface of the carpets. Another required task to clean olefin carpets. When cleaning pile type carpets , the water pressure runs around 500 PSI. However because an olefin carpet is a knit carpet and hates water , a lower PSI must be used, too high a water pressure will delay drying time.
Another characteristic of olefin is that it loves oil type materials. If you don't think you have any oily type soils on your shoes, any time you walk outside or even in your home. Oil type soils will be on your shoes. Some people will think wow , they are really scrubbing the carpet. However there is no brush attachment on the wand to scrub the carpet. The wand works by water pressure, going too fast diminishes the cleaning power created by the water pressure .It would be like pressure washing a house and whipping the spray around.
