Finishing up a valve cover gasket and alternator replacement on this 2010 Honda Pilot today.

The valve cover gasket was leaking oil directly onto the alternator and eventually took it out completely — one problem turning into another.

Got the leaks fixed and a new alternator going in to get this Pilot back on the road reliable again.

If you smell burning oil, notice leaks, or your battery light comes on, don’t ignore it. Catching it early can save you from a bigger repair later.
