Why do I flip car seats upside down when I put them back in?

1) All my kids have fur and so I don’t know what the heck I’m doing. So this means that I didn’t even attempt it. My liability with your precious cargo ends here.

2) I have short term memory loss and I don’t remember how I even managed to get them out, let alone get them back in 😅

I’ve been undecided about making a post like this, mostly due to the fact that my opinion doesn’t carry much weight in the way of people’s convenience or time, but also because I’ve been preaching this for 10 years.

BUT, here it goes anyway..

With all these automatic tunnel washes popping up in surrounding areas. You HAVE to understand how these things work so that YOU don’t have to wonder why after 3 visits your paint looks like crap, especially if you have a darker colored vehicle. There’s a reason why your vehicle comes out clean, but how can you only wait in line for 2 minutes and the wash only take 1 minute? Meanwhile the touchless car wash lines are backed up to the road and each vehicle takes 5 minutes? 1) Their focus is volume, not showroom finish. 2) The combination of harsh chemicals being used and the amount of pressure these machines are producing to actually remove the dirt from the surface. This combination creates fine swirls in the surface of your paint, which can give your vehicle a dull finish over time. Don’t get me started on the random amount of tire shine they dump on your tires that also gets all over the wheels 🙄

Some people don’t care, that’s fine. Meanwhile some people don’t know what they don’t know. I’ve fixed quite a few of these vehicles from soft touch washes over the years and this Ram was one that fell victim to not knowing. But we got it dialed in and ready to rip!

After Robert worked his magic we went ahead and did a solid paint correction to bring this metallic paint black paint to a better than showroom finish. We then went ahead and installed Gtechniq Crystal Serum Ultra to all the painted surfaces!
